Nigerian winger Samuel Kalu has inked a new agreement with Bulgarian team Botev Plovdiv, pledging his future to the Yellow and Blacks until 2029.
Kalu had been the subject of significant speculation regarding a transfer, with fellow Bulgarian side Levski Sofia and various Swiss clubs reportedly keeping an eye on his status.
Nevertheless, Botev Plovdiv has acted quickly to secure the Nigeria international’s long-term commitment by offering him a new three-year contract.

The 28-year-old joined the two-time Bulgarian champions last summer after leaving Sky Bet Championship club Watford.
Kalu made 26 appearances in all competitions during his inaugural season at Botev Plovdiv, netting two goals while showcasing his speed and creativity on the wings.
Prior to his move to Bulgaria, the former Super Eagles winger played for AS Trenčín, Belgian club KAA Gent, French team Girondins Bordeaux, and English side Watford.
On the international scene, Kalu has participated in 17 matches for the Super Eagles, scoring two goals.
