The Egyptian Football Association's Referees Committee, led by Essam Abdel Fattah, concluded a four-day training camp for female referees, which took place at the Youth City in Abu Qir, Alexandria, with the participation of 60 referees.
This camp serves as preparation for the upcoming season of women's football and is part of programs and strategies aimed at developing the Egyptian refereeing system to enhance the technical, physical, and cultural standards of referees.
Training Referees on Handling Refereeing Situations
The camp also aimed to train referees on how to handle various refereeing situations, standardizing decisions and interpretations related to the laws of the game. This ensures that a larger number of referees are ready throughout the season. Additionally, video tests were conducted, involving amateur players to apply all instructions, clarifications, and directives on the field, including preparing specific situations within the penalty area, in collaboration with the main referee and assistants, focusing on positioning, movement, and accurately reading the game, as well as making quick decisions inside and outside the penalty area.
In this context, Essam Abdel Fattah emphasized the importance of focus and commitment to fully benefit from the camp's activities, as well as applying the principle of reward and punishment within the refereeing system.
The camp's activities were presented by Essam Abdel Fattah, the head of the Referees Committee, along with committee members Mr. Mourad, Ayman Dgheish, Mohamed El-Hanfi, Hani Abdel Fattah, and Hayam Baraka, in addition to fitness officials Mohamed Aboukhater and Mohamed Taha.
