The Egypt U-20 handball team, led by coach Tarek Mahrous, claimed the Africa Championship title after defeating Tunisia 31-29 in the final match held in Ivory Coast.
The team reached the final after a commanding victory over Angola, winning 37-10 in the semifinals.
The squad advanced to the semifinals by overcoming Libya 40-15 in the quarterfinals of the African championship.
The Egypt U-20 handball team achieved a series of consecutive victories, defeating the Democratic Republic of Congo 38-15, then beating Congo Brazzaville 42-19, and finally winning against Cameroon 30-18.
