Nigeria’s Flamingos have landed in Lomé, Togo, in preparation for Saturday’s pivotal second leg of the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup final qualifying round against the Young Amazons of Benin Republic.
The team and officials arrived safely at the Gnassingbé Eyadéma International Airport on Friday and subsequently checked into the esteemed Hôtel Le Pélican, where they will be stationed for this critical match.
Akeem Busari’s squad conducted their first training session on Friday night as they ramped up their preparations for the significant contest.

The return leg is set to take place at the Stade de Kégué, with kick-off expected to draw considerable attention as both West African teams vie for a spot at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.
The Flamingos come into this match with a slight 3-2 lead from the first leg, which took place at the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne last weekend.
Queen Joseph, Shakirat Moshood Adegbuyi, and Ifeanyi Kindness scored for Nigeria, while Benin managed to stay in contention with two vital away goals.
The aggregate winners will secure one of Africa's slots for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, which will be held in Morocco in October.
