The Copper Queens from Zambia will touch down in Algeria on Monday (today) to finalize their preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The squad has dedicated the past two weeks to a training camp in Lusaka, sharpening their readiness for the tournament.
Assistant coach Charles Haalubono has been leading the training sessions, putting the athletes through rigorous exercises throughout the camp.
Head coach Nora Elizabeth Häuptle is anticipated to join the squad in Algeria.

The Copper Queens will conclude their preparations with two international friendly matches against Algeria prior to heading to Morocco on a chartered flight for the tournament.
The two friendlies against Algeria are scheduled for July 19th and July 22nd.
Zambia has been placed in Group C with reigning champions Nigeria, regional rivals Malawi, and Egypt.
The Copper Queens will kick off their campaign against Egypt at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat on Tuesday, July 28.
