The Olympique Lyonnais player unexpectedly secured a spot in Carlos Queiroz's squad for the tournament, despite spending a significant portion of the season sidelined due to injury. Nuamah commenced the match against Panama and made substitute appearances in encounters against Croatia and Colombia. He also provided the assist for Derrick Luckassen's consolation goal during the loss to Croatia in Philadelphia. While he acknowledges that the team did not meet their goals, Nuamah sees potential for growth. "Leaving the biggest stage in the world with my head held high," he shared on Instagram. "Honored to represent Ghana on the world’s grandest stage. We fought with every ounce of strength, left our hearts on the pitch, and strived to make our nation proud. Even though we came up short as warriors, this journey has imparted invaluable lessons that will remain with us forever." Each challenge, triumph, and setback has forged us into more resilient athletes. A sincere thank you to Ghana and to all who supported, believed in, and stood by us throughout this journey. Your love and encouragement have meant everything." Nuamah returned home for a vacation following the tournament but will soon head to France to kick off pre-season preparations in the coming days. The Black Stars are also set to resume action in October for the commencement of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
