The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) announced details of the hearing related to the appeal filed by the Senegalese Football Federation against the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation regarding the procedures related to the final of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025.

The court stated in a press release that the hearing will take place on Thursday, October 8, 2026, in person at the CAS headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, starting at 9:30 AM and will continue into the afternoon.

CAS confirmed that the session will be held behind closed doors, as the parties involved did not request to open the session to the media.

After the hearing concludes, the arbitration panel will begin its discussions, but the court clarified that it cannot currently determine a date for issuing the final decision, noting that the ruling will not be announced on the same day as the hearing.

Representatives from the Senegalese Football Federation and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation are expected to attend in person in Lausanne, while the Confederation of African Football will be represented by its advisors.

A panel of three arbitrators will review the case, chaired by French professor Gérald Simon, alongside Italian professor Luigi Fumagalli and German professor Ulrich Haas. The parties have agreed that the proceedings will be conducted in French, according to the statement.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport invited journalists wishing to cover the session from outside its headquarters on the day of the hearing to contact the court's media department, with a valid press card required.

CAS confirmed that it will publish any updates or official announcements regarding this case on the court's website.
