Moroccan international Azzedine Ounahi is set to miss 15 matches with his team Panathinaikos due to an injury sustained in the hamstring of his right thigh, according to Greek media reports.

The Greek newspaper "Ta Nea" reported that MRI scans revealed Ounahi suffered a severe muscle tear in the biceps femoris, indicating that his return to the pitch is expected at the beginning of next year.

According to the Greek site "Green Corner," the Moroccan player is expected to be sidelined for 15 matches for Panathinaikos, spanning from October 22 to December 20, which includes competitions in the Greek league, the Greek cup, and the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Ounahi will miss matches against Kairat Almaty, Volos, Aris, AEK Athens, CSKA Sofia, Heracles, and OFI, as well as Nordseland, Atromitos, Olympiakos, then Aris, Freiburg, PAOK, Brighton, and Heracles.

This injury comes at a critical time for the Moroccan player, who is also expected to miss two matches with the national team against Niger next November in the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations 2027, pending an official determination of his absence duration.
