At a press conference alongside Brahim Hemdani, Adil Aouchiche expressed his ambitions ahead of the match against Burundi, while discussing his debut with the Greens and his integration into this new cycle.

Speaking next to Brahim Hemdani at the press conference, Adil Aouchiche also addressed the upcoming clash with Burundi. The attacking midfielder for the Greens emphasized the importance of building on their opening day victory, while reminding everyone that nothing is guaranteed yet.

“It was a good start at home with our supporters, so we are quite happy, but the work is not finished. We want to go for this second victory. In any case, we will do everything to win this match, deliver a great performance, and the goal remains to win with the national team,” said the former PSG player.

Aouchiche also reflected on his debut with the Greens, having made his first appearance in the Algerian jersey against Guatemala. “This first match against Guatemala was a source of pride that I will never forget. I thank coach Petkovic for giving me this chance. It was a significant moment for me,” he explained, before discussing the change of cycle now represented by Brahim Hemdani and his team.

“Now, it’s a new chapter with a new staff and a new coach. Everyone is focused on this new generation. I try to give my best, whether at the club or here with the national team, to showcase my skills, what I am capable of, and especially to continue learning,” he added. Still relatively new to the group, Aouchiche primarily aspires to establish himself for the long term: “I am still just a player with two call-ups and one match. I want to serve the collective and be present when called upon.”
