Algeria: Hemdani addresses the situations of Merah, Hammche, and Massolin

Algeria's coach, Brahim Hemdani, was questioned about three young Algerian talents to determine if they are on the radar.
The absences from Brahim Hemdani's squad continue to raise questions. After the case of Rayan Aït-Nouri, the national coach was asked in a press conference about Ilyes Hammache. The left-back, who has delivered impressive performances with his club, was not selected for the two matches against Togo, despite the fact that this position is still under-resourced for the Greens.
Regarding the reasons for this decision, the Algerian coach did not rule out the possibility of a future call-up. “He is a profile we are monitoring. We have observed his recent performances, and he is on our radar, appearing on more or less significant lists. The main thing is that he continues to progress,” he explained. However, Hemdani believes that the November deadline comes too soon for the player: “If he keeps this up, hard work always pays off, and he will get a chance at some point.”
The coach was also asked about two other players being monitored by the Algerian Football Federation: Khalis Merah and Yanis Massolin. A journalist inquired whether discussions had already taken place and if the two players were open to the idea of wearing the Algeria jersey. Hemdani confirmed that there are regular exchanges without committing to their final decision.
“We are in constant contact with the players. The two you mentioned are being observed, and we are doing everything necessary to understand their situation and potentially create the conditions for their call-up to the national team,” he specified. The coach added that he followed their matches last weekend, stating that he has all the necessary information to make a decision. For Hammache, as well as for Merah and Massolin, the door to the Greens remains open, without an established timeline.
