"I made my decisions": Hemdani clarifies Zidane's absence!
Luca Zidane was absent, and the question quickly arose during the press conference. A few days before the two matches against Togo, Brahim Hemdani spoke to justify this decision, which has sparked discussions.
The absence of Luca Zidane did not go unnoticed by journalists. During the press conference following the announcement of his squad for the two matches against Togo, Brahim Hemdani explained his choice. The coach of the Greens emphasized the importance of game rhythm in forming his trio of goalkeepers.
“My choices were based on sporting criteria, considering such a specific position. I needed to opt for three goalkeepers who have had maximum playing time. The three selected have indeed played as much as possible since the last gathering, and that is the only reason I decided to select them,” he stated.
For these two matches, Hemdani has chosen Oussama Benbot, Melvin Mastil, and Abdelatif Ramdane. The coach believes that their activity at club level since the last camp aligns better with his expectations for this encounter.
Luca Zidane remains outside this gathering. Through this statement, Hemdani presents his absence as a sporting decision related to playing time, without mentioning other reasons to justify his choice.
