Algeria U16: The Greens bounce back against Tunisia

Following a crushing defeat in their first friendly match, Karim Ziani's Greens showed improvement in their encounter with Tunisia.

The national team U16 (U17 B drew 2-2 against their Tunisian counterparts in their second friendly match, which took place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the annex stadium of Hamadi Agrebi Stadium in Rades, Tunis.

For this match, Yacine Abed was in the starting eleven. After trailing at halftime (1-0), the Greens quickly equalized in the second half thanks to Ben Adam Kissoum, who scored the equalizer in the 49th minute.

Ten minutes later, Daoud Bellagra put the national team ahead by scoring Algeria's second goal in the 59th minute. Just when the Greens seemed on their way to victory, Tunisia managed to equalize in stoppage time, denying Karim Ziani's side a win that seemed within reach.

For the record, the Greens had suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat in their first match. The national team will return home on Tuesday, September 29, at the conclusion of their training camp in Tunisia.
