On the rise with Olympique Lyonnais, Kaïl Boudache is also making strides with the Algerian national teams. The young winger approaches the double-header against South Africa with determination.

A true sensation at Olympique Lyonnais since the start of the season, Kaïl Boudache is experiencing particularly exciting moments. The 20-year-old winger has been selected by Rafik Saïfi to join the Algeria U23 team for the September gathering and the two matches against South Africa.

Present in the mixed zone before these two encounters, the Lyon player expressed great enthusiasm at the prospect of facing a quality opponent. “We have a good group with quality. We are going to play against a strong nation and team like South Africa. We will assess their level and ours as well, and see what we can achieve. It will be an excellent test,” he stated.

Boudache arrives at this gathering with already 9 appearances in all competitions with OL this season, including three as a starter, for a total of 346 minutes.

However, his ambition goes well beyond the U23s. Recently asked about his international future, Boudache clearly stated his goal: “My dream is to participate in major competitions like the Champions League, but also to play in the World Cup with Algeria.” He even assured that a potential call from Zinedine Zidane with France would not change his choice: “It would always be Algeria, it’s my country.”
