Carlos Sainz supports a daring strategy for the racing prospects of Williams junior Will Green.

"Don't hesitate to make mistakes. It's preferable to push your limits and encounter errors than to play it too safe," Sainz conveyed in the video on the Williams YouTube channel. "At your age, it's crucial to absorb as much knowledge as you can. So, don't hold back.

"Don't shy away from making mistakes, taking risks, or attempting overtakes and last-lap maneuvers that might be overly ambitious. I would say this is the perfect time to take those chances, as that’s when you’ll gain the most experience.

"Always aim to be as close to the edge as you can. Of course, avoid doing anything reckless. If you can prevent foolish errors, do so. But take risks, because when they succeed, you gain a tremendous boost in confidence, and that's where your skills really flourish. You become not only skilled but also self-assured."

The 32-year-old also reminisced about his own transition from karting. "I found the shift from karting to cars to be quite seamless for me. It didn’t feel unusual," he noted.

"One day, you will get into a car. They will instruct you on how to operate the gears and everything involved. The first couple of laps may feel odd, but soon your instinct to push flat out in whatever they provide will take over, and you will adapt."
