JCA d’Agoè-Nyivé and SARA FC of Bafilo will play in the first division next season. Both teams secured their promotion on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, following the return leg of the second division playoffs, which ended in two 1-1 draws.
JCA d’Agoè-Nyivé maintained its lead against ASFOSA. After winning the first leg 3-2 at Ablogamé, the Agoè-Nyivé club managed a 1-1 draw in the return match. With an aggregate score of 4-3, JCA ensures its place in the first division.
By finishing top of the Southern group in the regular season with 22 points, JCA achieved a memorable feat. The Agoè-Nyivé club earns its first promotion to the elite of Togolese football.
In the Northern zone, SARA FC also secured its promotion after a tense encounter against Kakadl. After a goalless first leg (0-0), the two teams ended the return match with a score of 1-1.
With a perfect tie across both matches, SARA FC made the difference with its away goal. The Bafilo club, promoted this season to the second division, thus immediately returns to the elite of Togolese football.
However, JCA d’Agoè-Nyivé and SARA FC will not stop there. The two newly promoted teams will now meet in the final of the D2 playoffs, competing for the title of second division champion.
