En-Nesyri's transfer boosts Sevilla's finances

Spanish media reports indicate that Sevilla will receive around €3 million from Turkish club Fenerbahçe after the Andalusian side turned to FIFA due to not receiving one of the payments related to the transfer of Moroccan international Youssef En-Nesyri.

The reports stated that Sevilla filed a complaint with FIFA over Fenerbahçe's failure to pay one of the installments due on April 30, 2026, as part of the financial agreement made between the two parties when the Moroccan striker moved to the Turkish club in the summer of 2024.

En-Nesyri transferred from Sevilla to Fenerbahçe for a fee of approximately €20 million, with the Turkish club set to pay the transfer amount in installments over several seasons.

The failure to pay one of the installments on time prompted Sevilla to take official action, resulting in a penalty imposed on Fenerbahçe that prevents them from registering new players for three transfer windows due to non-compliance with the financial commitments related to the deal.

For its part, Fenerbahçe confirms that the remaining amount, which is around €3 million, will be paid on Monday, September 28, allowing the lifting of the penalty on registering new players after settling the disputed amount.

Collecting this payment will represent a financial gain for Sevilla, which is seeking to recover various dues related to previous transfers amid the financial situation the club is facing, while the En-Nesyri transfer remains one of the operations that has not completed all its financial obligations.
