England: Hadjam finds the net in his first match in the Premier League! (video)

Coming on in the final minutes, Algerian international Jaouen Hadjam seized a golden opportunity to make his mark and contribute to a crucial victory for the Seagulls against Sunderland (2-0).
Jaouen Hadjam had a memorable afternoon in the Premier League. This Saturday, the Algerian left-back scored his first goal in the English league, helping Brighton triumph on Sunderland's turf in this league fixture.
As the Seagulls were heading towards a narrow victory, the former Young Boys player sealed the fate of the match in stoppage time. Coming on in the 88th minute alongside Georginio Rutter, Hadjam needed only a few moments to make an impact. In the 90th+3 minute, during a well-orchestrated counter-attack, Rutter found the Algerian in the box. Hadjam showed composure to finish with a powerful strike, despite a difficult angle, sending the ball into the back of the net.
This goal is significant for the 23-year-old defender, who is experiencing the English league for the first time this season after his transfer to Brighton from Young Boys during the summer transfer window. It also rewards his ability to seize opportunities, even with limited playing time.
Before this first goal in the Premier League, Hadjam had already made an impression in his new colors. On September 16, he notably provided an assist against Manchester United in the EFL Cup, showcasing his offensive qualities.
Beyond this individual performance, Brighton achieved a great result by winning away. Fabian Hürzeler's men opened the scoring through Maxim De Cuyper in the 53rd minute, before withstanding Sunderland's assaults, despite a tense finish under pressure.
With this goal, Hadjam continues his adaptation to English football and earns points in the Seagulls' rotation. This first league goal could give him more confidence for the rest of the season.
