France: Titraoui could soon be under the management of an Algerian?

It seems that his coach Dino Toppmöller is on the verge of leaving the club, according to information from L’Équipe, after only a few weeks at the helm of the team.

This is certainly significant news for Titraoui, as the German coach had strongly advocated for his arrival from Charleroi this summer. Toppmöller had placed real trust in him, and the Algerian quickly found his place in the Lens starting eleven before suffering a thigh injury during the match against Lorient.

The German coach could be replaced by the duo Yannick Cahuzac - Bilal Hamdi, currently Toppmöller's assistant coaches. Hamdi, 35, from Nedroma, was trained at Lens before returning there at the end of his career.

Regarding his health, Titraoui is unlikely to be fit for Friday's match against Monaco. Initial examinations revealed a hamstring injury, and his return was not expected until after the international break. He has already missed matches against Slavia Prague and Le Mans.

Lens may now temporarily hand the reins to Yannick Cahuzac. For Titraoui, the main challenge will thus be twofold: to quickly regain his physical abilities, and then to convince a new staff to grant him the same trust as Toppmöller.
