In his first match with Al-Gharafa, Ismaël Bennacer experienced an intense evening. Starting from the beginning, the Algerian was sent off after an altercation with Crysencio Summerville.

In his very first outing with Al-Gharafa, Ismaël Bennacer had a particularly eventful evening. Announced the day before by the Qatari club, the Algerian international was named in the starting lineup against Al-Hilal in the AFC Champions League, but his debut ended sooner than expected.

Tensions rose after an altercation with Crysencio Summerville. The Dutch winger first pushed one of Bennacer's teammates, prompting an immediate reaction from the Algerian. Very angry, the midfielder grabbed Summerville by the hair before confronting him. The situation quickly escalated, and the referee ultimately decided to send off both players.

The tension did not fully subside after the red card. As he left the pitch, Bennacer also appeared to want to respond to Al-Hilal supporters. Kalidou Koulibaly then intervened to calm his former opponent and prevent the situation from worsening.

A debut to forget for Bennacer, who undoubtedly hoped for a much different start with his new club. Al-Gharafa ultimately lost 2-1 to Al-Hilal, marking the end of a difficult evening for the Algerian international.
