Hadj Moussa reassures Hamdani with another "double" in the Netherlands
Algerian international Anis Hadj Moussa continued his impressive form with Feyenoord Rotterdam, scoring another "double" against Utrecht on Sunday in the seventh round of the Dutch league.
The "Les Verts" winger led his team to a comfortable 3-0 lead at halftime against Utrecht, netting two goals in the 6th and 33rd minutes, showcasing remarkable individual skill in both instances.
With this performance, Hadj Moussa has now scored a "double" in consecutive matches, having also found the net twice against Zwolle in the previous round during Feyenoord's dominant 7-0 victory.
Hadj Moussa has raised his tally to 5 goals and 1 assist this season in 7 matches with Feyenoord, including one appearance in the UEFA Champions League. He continues to deliver strong performances ahead of joining the national team camp.
His current form is sure to make him a key option for national coach Ibrahim Hamdani as he seeks a replacement for captain Riyad Mahrez, who has retired from international duty.
It is worth noting that the "Les Verts" camp will begin tomorrow, Monday, in preparation for the first two rounds of the Africa Cup of Nations 2027 qualifiers, starting this Friday with a home match against Zambia at the "Hussein Ait Ahmed" Stadium in Tizi Ouzou, before facing Burundi on September 29 in the second round.
