After the first two rounds of the CAN 2027 qualifiers, the Carthage Eagles have recorded two draws against Uganda (1-1) and Botswana (2-2). A winless start for coach Mouine Chaâbani's team, which must quickly find solutions to remain competitive in their quest for qualification.

In their opening match, the Tunisians were held to a draw at home against Uganda. After a goal from Adem Arous in the 12th minute, the visitors equalized in the second half with a goal from Rogers Mato (68th). A few days later, Tunisia again shared the points against Botswana. After falling behind due to a goal from Thatayaone Kgamanyane (37th), the Carthage Eagles managed to turn the tide with a brace from Hazem Mastouri, only to concede the equalizer from Lebogang Ditsele.

Originally scheduled for October 3 in Radès, the friendly match against Mali was ultimately canceled by mutual agreement between the two federations, following consultations with the coaches. Thus, Tunisia played two matches during this period without managing to secure a victory.

In the Group H standings, the team has two points, tied with Botswana, behind Uganda, which has four. Libya sits at the bottom of the table with one point after two rounds.
