Kylian Mbappé has ended his partnership with Nike after nearly two decades.

The Real Madrid superstar has signed with the Swiss brand On, which is making a notable entry into the football world thanks to the Frenchman.

“What attracted me to On from the start was the opportunity to create something completely innovative together, capable of transforming the football of tomorrow,” Mbappé stated on On's official channels regarding his move.

“I want to bring my experience and vision to our projects, continue to explore the opportunities offered by innovation, and remain true to my passion for football. We share the same dream, and this is just the beginning.”

With Mbappé's arrival, On aims to carve out a place in the football market. Founded in 2010, the brand initially focused on running before expanding into other sports like tennis.

The first football shoe model from On is expected to launch in 2027. Mbappé will work closely with developers to test and improve the new products.

Thierry Henry will also play a central role in the new football-related projects. The former Arsenal striker and French national team player has been appointed as the director of football and has been collaborating behind the scenes on On's entry into the football world since late 2025.

“To create something innovative in football, you need a bold and original approach,” Henry declares.

“Over the past twelve months, I have closely observed the curiosity and attention to detail that the On team dedicates to this process. We want to listen to the players, understand their needs, and design something that brings real value to football. I am proud to help shape the future.”
