Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi, a player for Paris Saint-Germain, has begun a new phase of his rehabilitation program after returning to the field on Friday for individual training, marking a step towards his gradual return to competition.

In its medical report, the Parisian club indicated that the Moroccan right-back is continuing his training return process, having completed an individual session on the field, but did not provide a date for his return to official matches.

Hakimi sustained an injury last Sunday during Paris Saint-Germain's match against Brest, which was part of the fourth round of the French league, after being forced to leave the field in the 39th minute.

The club clarified the next day that medical examinations revealed a minor injury to his right thigh and that he has since been following a specific treatment program.

Hakimi's participation in the crucial match against Olympique de Marseille, scheduled for next Sunday, remains uncertain, depending on the progress of his physical condition and the decision of the club's medical and technical staff.

This announcement comes as Paris Saint-Germain seeks to turn around its start to the season in Ligue 1, having recorded its first victory in the last round after two draws and a defeat, currently sitting in seventh place with five points.

On the international front, the Moroccan national team is also awaiting Hakimi's availability, after coach Mohamed Wahbi included him in the squad for the upcoming matches. The "Lions of the Atlas" are preparing to face Gabon on September 25, followed by Lesotho away on the 29th of the same month, before playing a friendly against Ghana in Tangier on October 4.
