After a long break, JS Kabylie and MC Alger resumed the league with a victory. Without truly shining, both giants secured the essential and earned three valuable points.

The two titans of Algerian football, JS Kabylie and MC Alger, returned to Ligue 1 Mobilis this Friday after a lengthy interruption. For the Canaries, it was mainly about erasing the defeat suffered before the break against CR Témouchent (1-0). Karim Belhocine's players did not particularly impress with their play, but they managed to do what was necessary in front of their fans against ASO Chlef.

The breakthrough came very early. In the 12th minute, Aymen Mahious converted a penalty to put JSK ahead. The Kabyles never fully managed to secure their lead but maintained this slim advantage until the final whistle (1-0). Chlef, on the other hand, continues to experience a difficult start to the season and remains winless after four matches.

A similar scenario unfolded a few hours later for MC Alger, who faced a resilient CR Témouchent and a goalkeeper in top form. The three-time defending champions of Algeria largely dominated the exchanges, creating numerous chances but failing to convert them.

It wasn't until the 76th minute that Ben Ahmed Kohili, Mediterranean champion and top scorer of the tournament last summer, received a pass from Ghezala and secured the three points for MCA (1-0).

With these victories, MCA temporarily rises to 5th place with six points from just two matches, while JSK also totals six points from three games and positions itself around 6th place.

Both clubs will quickly follow up: Mouloudia will visit ASO Chlef on October 13, while JSK will challenge ES Sétif on October 14. CR Belouizdad leads with 10 points from 4 matches.
