Amine Harit has finally found his scoring touch. After a long drought in Ligue 1 since October 2024, the attacking midfielder of Olympique de Marseille found the back of the net during the 2-0 victory against Troyes on Sunday. He hopes this goal marks the beginning of a new positive phase for him.
The Moroccan had not scored in the league since a match against Montpellier. Nearly two years later, he rediscovered his scoring instinct thanks to a play he had anticipated during training.
“I knew Emerson would put it here; he does it often in training. I tried to sense the moment,” the 29-year-old player told Ligue 1+. Harit also explained the collective movement that led him to be in the right place, mentioning Amine Gouiri's run and Emerson's position on the left flank.
This goal holds special significance for the former Nantes player, who is aware that his offensive effectiveness has often been questioned. “It’s a criticism that has often been directed at me in my career, that I’m not decisive enough,” he admitted.
Now, the Marseille midfielder wants to look to the future and use this goal to boost his confidence. “I hope to build on this goal for the rest of the season,” he added.
Beyond the collective success of OM, this goal could signal a turning point for Harit, who aspires to be more decisive moving forward.
