The debut of Mamour Ndiaye on the pitch against Rodez could mark a new chapter in his journey at Saint-Étienne.

In the 88th minute of ASSE's 2-0 victory, the Senegalese goalkeeper replaced Gautier Larsonneur, who had to leave the game due to injury. The 20-year-old welcomed this first appearance in the green colors with great joy.

“A memorable emotion”, he shared on his social media, reflecting on his first moments at Geoffroy-Guichard. The goalkeeper also thanked the fans for their warm welcome and expressed his aspirations.

“This is just the beginning. Go the Greens!”

Before meeting the Saint-Étienne public, Mamour Ndiaye built his career between Senegal and Norway. After playing at the Oslo Football Academy, he was spotted by Sarpsborg at the end of 2023, where he signed in 2024. By 2025, he had established himself as a key player for the Norwegian team.

His remarkable performances also opened the doors to the Senegalese U20 national team, with which he won the UFOA-A tournament, where he was named the best goalkeeper. Recently called up by Patrick Vieira for the senior team, Ndiaye may continue with the Greens if Gautier Larsonneur is unable to participate in the upcoming match against Red Star.
