Nouhoum Kamissoko took advantage of Olympique de Marseille's victory over Troyes (2-0) on Sunday to make his mark. Starting for the first time in Ligue 1 at just 21 years old, the Malian midfielder delivered a solid performance, earning praise from Bruno Genesio.
A product of Marseille's youth academy, Kamissoko impressed with his dynamism, positioning, and technical precision.
“Kami was outstanding in terms of defensive balance, positioning, and technical choices. He showed a lot of accuracy,” said the Marseille coach on Ligue 1+.
This performance could provide the young midfielder with the opportunity to increase his playing time in the coming weeks. While he still needs to prove his worth, he has shown that he can be an additional option in midfield for the Olympian team.
