Mohammed VI Academy proudly showcases its players.

The Mohammed VI Football Academy shared photos of eight of its graduates who have been called up to join the national team in preparation for upcoming competitions through its official page.

The list includes Ahmed Reda Tagnaouti, Alaâ Belarouch, Nayef Aguerd, Abdelhamid Ait Bouddal, Osama Tergaline, Azzedine Ounahi, Tawfik Ben Tayeb, and Yassir Zbeiri.

The national team is preparing to play three matches, two against Gabon and Lesotho as part of the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, in addition to a friendly match against Ghana in Tangier.

The presence of eight players from the academy in coach Mohamed Wahbi's squad reflects the diversity of generations that have passed through the training system, including experienced players with the senior team, Olympic internationals, and young talents gradually joining the "Atlas Lions".

In goal, Ahmed Reda Tagnaouti brings his previous experience with the national team, alongside Alaâ Belarouch, who has progressed through various national age groups, particularly the Olympic team.

In defense, Nayef Aguerd stands out as one of the key players representing the national team in recent years, while Abdelhamid Ait Bouddal represents a younger generation that previously worked under Mohamed Wahbi with the Moroccan U-20 team.

In midfield, the lineup includes Osama Tergaline, who was part of the Moroccan team that won the bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, alongside Azzedine Ounahi, who has continued his professional career after moving to Greek club Panathinaikos.

In the forward line, the list features Tawfik Ben Tayeb, who has transitioned from the domestic professional league to European pitches, along with Yassir Zbeiri, who won the U-20 World Cup with the Moroccan team in Chile.

Zbeiri is having a standout start with Racing Santander, increasing his tally to six goals since the season began, the latest being his goal against Barcelona at Camp Nou.

This diverse presence of graduates from the Mohammed VI Football Academy in the national team highlights the vital role the institution plays in developing players who transition from youth categories to national teams, with varying paths, positions, and professional experiences.
