Tebas: "Lecce has a wide influence."

The topic of the 2030 World Cup final has resurfaced amid ongoing uncertainty about the stadium that will host the tournament's most important match. Javier Tebas, president of the Spanish Football League, indicated that Morocco could be granted the honor of hosting if Gianni Infantino remains president of FIFA.

Tebas stated during a meeting organized by the Association of Directors and Executives in Aragon, held in Huesca, that he favors holding the final in Morocco, suggesting that the match could "go to Morocco" as long as Infantino is the head of FIFA, unless unexpected developments occur.

The Spanish official referenced recent statements by Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and FIFA Council member, who announced that the Hassan II Stadium in Benslimane will host the final of the 2030 World Cup.

Tebas believes Lekjaa's statement should not be dismissed as a mere passing opinion, given his position within the international football system. He noted that the project for the Hassan II Stadium, which is expected to have a capacity of around 115,000 spectators, reflects significant ambition in line with hosting the tournament's biggest matches.

Despite these statements, FIFA remains firm in its official stance of not making a decision regarding the stadium that will host the final match.

FIFA confirmed following Lekjaa's remarks that the choice of the final stadium has not yet been determined, and the decision will be announced in due course, a position that FIFA previously expressed after reports suggested that Morocco was close to being awarded the honor of hosting the final match.

The 2030 World Cup bid includes a number of major stadiums proposed to host matches, including the Hassan II Stadium in Benslimane, Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, and Camp Nou in Barcelona.
