The U-20 national team wins the North Africa Championship title for the fourth time in its history.

The Egypt U20 national team clinched the North African Championship title after a remarkable campaign, securing the trophy and qualifying for the Africa U20 Cup of Nations, bringing their total titles in this tournament to 4 historic wins.

This achievement reinforces the Pharaohs' legacy in the tournament, as the Egypt U20 team had previously won the title on three occasions in 2006, 2008, and 2012, before adding their fourth title in the current edition with a strong performance and a well-deserved victory over their rivals.

The Egypt U20 team defeated Algeria 2-0 in the match that took place today, Tuesday, in the fifth and final round of the North African qualifiers for the Africa U20 Cup of Nations.

Mahmoud Salah scored the opening goal for the Pharaohs in the 21st minute of the match, and Anas Rushdi extended the lead with a second goal in the 81st minute, securing the three points for Egypt.

Egypt sits atop the qualifiers table with 9 points from 3 wins and 1 loss, while Morocco is in second place with 7 points and has also secured qualification alongside the Pharaohs.
