Wydad Temara triumphs over Wydad Casablanca at "Dounor"

Wydad Temara achieved an important victory today against Wydad Casablanca, winning 3-1 at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca, in the first round of the 2026/2027 professional football league.

The first half saw intense competition between the two teams, with the Temara side delivering a standout performance and putting pressure on the "Red" at several points.

The good performance from Wydad Temara resulted in the opening goal in the 19th minute, scored by a penalty taken by Akram Khwidi.

After Khwidi's goal, the Casablanca team intensified their attacks on Wydad Temara's defense in search of an equalizer, but the latter held firm, ending the first half with the visitors leading 1-0.

In the second half, open play continued to be a prominent feature, as Wydad Casablanca sought to level the score and find a winning goal, while Wydad Temara aimed to add a second goal.

The visitors' desire was more pressing, as they added a second goal in the 58th minute through player Othmane Sabri.

In the 80th minute, Wydad Casablanca was awarded a penalty, successfully converted by Congolese player Silver Ganvoula Mboussi.

Just before the end of the match, specifically in the 90+6 minute, the Temara team scored their third goal through Othmane Sabri, concluding the match with Wydad Temara winning 3-1 against Wydad Casablanca.

With this victory, Wydad Temara secures their first three points in the professional league, while Wydad Casablanca remains without any points.
