Youssef Belaïli is close to completing the first phase of his rehabilitation process after suffering a cruciate ligament injury.

Wael Gomaa, the football director at Al Ahly, has clarified the latest updates regarding the health status of Moroccan player Youssef Belaïli, who is currently undergoing a rehabilitation program in Morocco after recently undergoing surgery on his cruciate ligament in Germany.

Gomaa revealed that the medical staff at Al Ahly is in constant communication with Youssef Belaïli to monitor his health condition and track the progress of his rehabilitation program, in collaboration with the doctors responsible for his case in Morocco.

The Al Ahly football director pointed out that there is ongoing communication between the club's doctor and the Moroccan player to oversee the treatment and rehabilitation program and ensure it is being carried out correctly, especially since the player is going through critical stages in his recovery from the injury.

Gomaa confirmed that Youssef Belaïli is nearing the completion of the first phase of his rehabilitation program, after which he will return to Cairo to continue the remaining stages of rehabilitation under the supervision of the medical staff at Al Ahly.

He added that the Moroccan player is expected to return to Cairo within the next two weeks to continue his program at the club, which will allow the medical staff to monitor his condition more closely and determine the next stages of rehabilitation based on his progress.

Al Ahly is giving special attention to Belaïli's case due to the player's importance in the team's plans, managing the cruciate ligament injury through a gradual rehabilitation program aimed at restoring his full physical fitness before returning to training and participating in matches.

It is worth noting that Youssef Belaïli underwent cruciate ligament surgery in Germany on August 28, and has since begun his rehabilitation journey, currently in its first phase in Morocco, before returning to Cairo to continue the program under the supervision of Al Ahly's medical staff.
