Kevin Quiton Named Player of the Month in Belgium
Algerian international Kevin Quiton has been named Player of the Month for August in the Belgian league following a strong start with his club Charleroi in the 2026-2027 season.
The defender for the "Greens" competed for the award against Nigerian Rafiou Dorosunmi, a forward for Genk, and Swiss player Michael Frey from Antwerp.
The editorial team of "dhnet," which awards the title, chose Quiton, who stood out significantly during the first month of the season.
Quiton was one of the standout names in Charleroi's perfect start, as the team achieved 4 consecutive victories at the beginning of the season.
The Algerian international contributed to Charleroi's winning streak, scoring 9 goals for the team, with Quiton involved in 3 of them, netting 2 goals against Oud-Heverlee Leuven and Mechelen, along with an assist during the match against Kortrijk.
Quiton continued to deliver strong performances with his club despite suffering their first defeat of the season against Saint-Gilloise in early September, where he provided an assist, bringing his tally to 2 goals and 2 assists in the first 5 rounds.
