Egyptian Quartet Advances to Finals
The championship saw Janna Khamis, Ahlam Hamdi, Reem Ahmed, and Mustafa Al-Ghabashi advance to the final matches, ensuring that the Egyptian team will secure 4 medals, one for each player, with the color of the medals to be determined after the finals.
Janna Khamis reached the final in the girls' kata category after defeating a player from Botswana in the first round, and then overcame an Algerian competitor in the second round, continuing her journey towards winning the gold medal.
Reem Ahmed also advanced to the final after a dominant victory over a Tunisian player with a score of 10-0, while Ahlam Hamdi secured her place in the final after winning against her Tunisian rival with a score of 5-4.
In the men's kata category, Mustafa Al-Ghabashi successfully qualified for the final, completing the list of Egyptian qualifiers for the finals, which guarantees the karate team 4 additional medals at the African Championship in Algeria.
