Manchester United has finalized the acquisition of Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa for £36m, according to Sky Sports.
The 29-year-old has inked a five-year contract at Old Trafford, marking him as the second midfielder brought in during the summer transfer window, following the confirmed £50m signing of Andrey Santos from Chelsea.

This summer, he represented Belgium five times at the World Cup, serving as captain and netting two goals in a 3-2 victory over Senegal in the round of 32.
Tielemans had been with Villa since 2023, having joined on a free transfer from Leicester City, and made 134 appearances for the team, scoring 10 goals.
During his tenure, Villa qualified for the Champions League on two occasions, reached the quarter-finals in that tournament, and secured the Europa League title last season under Unai Emery, with Tielemans scoring the opener in the final against Freiburg.
Prior to his time at Villa, Tielemans lifted the FA Cup and Community Shield with Leicester.
