The Algeria women's national team achieved a resounding victory against the Central African Republic (8-0) this Friday at the 5-July-1962 Stadium in Algiers, during the first leg of the second round of the qualifiers for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
The Greens quickly took control of the match. An own goal by Ndoumba Yatrein (20th minute), followed by goals from Marine Dafeur (26th), Lina Boussaha (30th), and Sofia Bekhaled (36th), allowed the Algerians to lead 4-0 at halftime.
The dominance continued in the second half with goals from Nouhad Naïli (51st), Inès Belloumou (68th), Lynda Bendris (80th), and Nesrine Bahlouli (90+1), leading to a crushing victory. In her first appearance for Algeria, Bahlouli also made an impression by concluding the offensive festival.
With this triumph, Algeria positions itself favorably for qualification to the third round. The two teams will meet again on Tuesday, October 13, at 18:00, at the 5-July-1962 Stadium for the return leg.
