Al-Ittihad: Houssem Aouar shakes the nets! (Video)

Houssem Aouar once again proved his worth with Al-Ittihad. Starting in the match against Al-Ettifaq, the Algerian international contributed to his team's impressive 4-1 victory, a crucial win to stay in contention for the top positions in the Saudi Pro League. The midfielder particularly stood out by scoring.

The action leading to his goal perfectly illustrates his commitment. Starting from his own half, Aouar followed the counter-attack for several dozen meters before continuing his run into the opponent's box. Served at the near post, the Algerian outpaced the defense and slid the ball into the net to give Al-Ittihad a 2-1 lead.

This goal adds to a season that had so far been marked mainly by his assists. Before this match, Aouar had one goal and two assists in 11 appearances across all competitions, including two assists in the league and one goal in the AFC Champions League. He thus increases his tally to two goals and two assists this season.

This victory also allows Al-Ittihad to remain fully engaged in the title race. The Jeddah club, which had 17 points before the match, moves up to 20 points and stays near the top of the standings, just behind the main title challengers.
