The U23 team led by Rafik Saifi suffered a defeat in their first friendly match against their South African counterparts.

The Algerians took the lead at the best moment, just before halftime, thanks to Senhadji from a pass by Bentoumi, following a great team play in the 44th minute.

Barely back from the locker room, the South Africans equalized with a player who intercepted an excellent low cross at the near post. In defense, the new Nice player, Ben Idder, failed to beat the scorer to the ball (49th).

The Bafana Bafana quickly added a second goal after a failed clearance by Bouziani, which went straight to an opponent. Bakhouche, covering, was caught off guard and scored an own goal (53rd).

The third goal came in the 73rd minute, with a stunning shot from 25 meters that the Algerian goalkeeper Mokhtar, initially unsighted, could not stop. It is worth noting that Anis Ouzenadji was substituted a few minutes earlier due to an injury from a dangerous tackle.
