Belgium: Adem Zorgane extends his journey! (Official)

Union Saint-Gilloise is counting on Adem Zorgane for the years to come. The Algerian midfielder has signed an extension, solidifying his place in the club's project after a summer filled with transfer rumors.
Adem Zorgane is committed to Union Saint-Gilloise for the long term. The Algerian midfielder has renewed his contract until June 2031, the Brussels club announced on Saturday. A few months ago, the 26-year-old player seemed poised to leave, but he ultimately chose to stay in the Belgian capital, emerging stronger.
In the club's statement, Zorgane revealed his choice: “I feel good at the club and in Brussels. I have good relationships with my teammates, the staff, and the supporters, and we all share the same ambition: to win as many matches as possible. I am happy and proud to extend my contract with the club, and I look forward to continuing to fight together for trophies.”
Arriving in the summer of 2025 from Charleroi, he quickly established himself as a key figure in David Hubert's midfield. In 60 matches across all competitions, he scored 5 goals and provided 10 assists, winning the Belgian Cup and the Belgian Supercup. This season, he has scored 1 goal and made 1 assist in nine matches.
On the international stage, Zorgane has 26 caps with Algeria but was not selected for the 2026 World Cup, where the Fennecs were eliminated in the Round of 16 by Switzerland. Regarding his club, his market value is estimated at around 12 million euros, and this extension gives Union a major asset for potential negotiations next summer.
