Borussia Dortmund dropped their first points of the Bundesliga season. With Serhou Guirassy, BVB thought they had secured victory against Werder Bremen, only to see the equalizer come in the final minutes (2-2) on Friday.
With the score still tied with ten minutes remaining, Svensson opened the scoring in the 80th minute, followed by Schlotterbeck who doubled the lead five minutes later. Dortmund seemed to be on track for another win.
However, Werder turned the match around in the closing moments. Reis pulled one back in the 88th minute, before Füllkrug equalized in stoppage time (90+2).
This draw ends Borussia's winning streak, but they remain at the top of the table with 13 points. Werder Bremen temporarily sits in fourth place with 8 points.
