After a long wait marked by complications related to scheduling, Hafia FC and AS Douanes of Mauritania will meet this Saturday, September 19, at the Stade du 28-Septembre in Conakry. Originally scheduled for September 11, the return leg of the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup has been moved to 16:00 GMT.
In the first leg, held in Nouakchott, the two teams ended in an exciting draw (2-2). Hafia FC, playing at home, will aim to leverage this advantage to secure qualification. Meanwhile, AS Douanes will need to deliver a strong performance in Conakry to continue their continental journey.
The stakes are high for both teams. The winner of this two-legged tie will face Algeria's CR Belouizdad in the second preliminary round of the competition. In Conakry, 90 minutes separate Hafia FC and AS Douanes from the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
